![]() ![]() I’ll begin with the tragic death of a beloved little boy that resulted from the convergence of those factors. Rarely do we see a case in which all of those things took place simultaneously, and very rarely do we see one as egregious or infuriating as this case. Please please please show no mercy for the women who is responsible for the death of yet another innocent child James Avi Chairez. We’ve seen DCS failures before we’ve seen cases in which one parent is treated unfairly by the family court system and we’ve seen cases in which the police are either inept or corrupt. I'm the voice that James needs I'm the women that wants change I'm the women who will keep fighting I'M A GRANDMOTHER & MOTHER so my fight for justice FOR JAMES is GREATER than you will ever expect. Please judge show me that the justice system is still capable of keeping the bad in with the bad. And that she not be placed in Mountainview due to her mother being incarcerated there. I'm asking you now Judge to please consider not giving D'Lanny the opportunity of being let free before she has served those 5 years in actual prison. I spent weeks searching for him and brought it up to law enforcement and was brushed off. I've been dying inside for months trying to get answers and still nothing on how my sweet little mad face passed away. She was responsible for this baby and lied to his where abouts and he is DEAD, yet only tampering with evidence. She is being charged with tampering with evidence and ONLY given 5 years for that. I've been let down thus far by knowing that it's been well over a year now and no new chargers have been brought to James mother D'Lanny on his death. The 18month old found in a bag underneath a mobile home in which D'Lanny Chairez resided. My name is Mariesol Benavidez I am fighting to get justice for baby James Avi Chairez. First and foremost let me say thank you for serving this community as a Bexar County Judge.
